This Old House Tv Show Visits Baird Brothers’ Canfield Location

Factory footage may be featured in an upcoming episode of This Old House on PBS

Canfield, OH: This Old House® was onsite at Baird Brothers Fine Hardwoods on Tuesday, July 16th to film the family-owned facility. The producers expect to feature the footage in the 2019/2020 season of This Old House.

The Emmy award-winning home-enthusiast brand toured Baird’s facility and got an insider’s look at the process of making many of the products that will be used throughout the upcoming Westerly, RI project house.

“It’s always a pleasure working with the crew at This Old House. Having been on the job site with Tom Silva and the guys numerous times, it’s refreshing to work with authentic craftsmen rather than made-for-TV actors,” Terry Baird mentioned in a recent interview. “These guys are the real deal. They grew up learning the trades at a young age from their fathers, and they’re committed to passing on their knowledge and do-it-right building know-how to help millions of fans complete their own projects.”

The Westerly home is the second time in the past two years that Baird Brothers collaborated on a project house with This Old House. In 2018, the local, family-owned company provided all of the interior doors, trim and hardwood flooring for the Jamestown Net-Zero Project House. Episodes for the Jamestown home premiered on PBS from October 2018 to February 2019.

Additionally, Baird Brothers partnered with This Old House on two other projects: the 2018 Idea House in Narragansett, RI and the 2019 Idea House in New Canaan, CT.

“We’ve had the opportunity to work with Jeff Sweenor and his team for two straight years now, and they are the best of the best. His entire team is extremely professional and his job sites are some of the neatest and most efficient construction sites I’ve seen in my 40+ years of traveling in the field,” said Steve Stack, sales director at Baird Brothers, about his trips to New England. “It’s exciting to see our materials put to use by his craftsmen and to follow along as they create stunning, warm environments with the moldings and paneling that we’re supplying to them.”

The Westerly, RI project is part of the 41st season of This Old House. Episodes will likely begin airing in October 2019.
