Are you a homeowner, builder, or supplier of building materials? If so, you should consider attending some trade shows! These events provide attendees with professional networking opportunities, serve as a way to gain industry insights on the latest trends — straight from industry experts, and are a great source of inspiration.

Whether you’re a general contractor, interior designer, homeowner, business owner or supply chain professional, here’s a list of 2023 builders’ trade shows that you need to have on your radar.

National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) – International Builders’ Show (IBS)

Even though you already missed the opportunity to attend the NAHB IBS Show in 2023, next year’s event is slated for Feb. 27-29, 2024. The show takes place in Las Vegas, and attendees can see all things related to residential construction.

IBS is the largest light construction trade show in the world, and this extremely popular international conference is held at the expansive Las Vegas Convention Center.

Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC)

3150 Paradise Road

Las Vegas, NV 89109

The center is a great venue to host massive annual conferences because it includes a staggering 3.2 million square feet of space and 13 exhibit halls. When it comes to construction conferences, that expansive footprint allows for construction technology, new products, breakout sessions and demonstration homes to be highlighted for over 70,000 visitors.

Locally Based Home and Garden Shows

Whether you’re a builder or a homeowner, the importance of local and regional shows can’t be understated! They are a source of inspiration and allow visitors to make connections with professionals in their area.

A couple of our favorites include the Mahoning Valley HBA Home & Garden Show, the Pittsburgh Home & Garden Show, and The Great Big Home + Garden Show in Cleveland.

The 72nd Annual HBA Home & Garden Show is a must-see for homeowners and builders near the Youngstown, OH area. The 2023 Home & Garden Show took place March 3-5, but keep it on your must-see list for 2024 when it comes to inspiration for interior and outdoor spaces.

The 41st annual Pittsburgh Home & Garden Show took place March 3-12, 2023, and included over 1,500 exhibits across ten acres of space at the Pittsburgh Convention Center. There is also a second show – The Fall Home Show – October 6-8, 2023, where visitors can shop products, ask questions and source regional services.

Last but not least is The Great Big Home + Garden Show, held annually at the I-X Center in Cleveland, OH. The 2023 event took place Feb. 3 – 12, but the 2024 show is already scheduled! If you’ll be in the Cleveland area, be sure to mark your calendar for Feb. 2-11, 2024 – it’s one of the best attended shows in the nation, with 112,000 attendees and 600+ yearly exhibitors.
